Week Four: Distortion
"This week we focused on distortion. I am into classical art so i did not know what Distortion was, i mean i knew what it was but i do not know much about the art movement. Anyway i ended up doing a "fish-eye lens" type of distortion as it was the only thing that came into my head when i was painting. This is my favorite painting i have done so far on this course, it is really electric, you would think that this photograph of my painting was edited to look like a "cellophane effect" but it is not, it really does look like that in real life. I kept changing the background in different colours and mark making, but it was not working out, and near the end of the lesson i just took my paint cloth and wiped the background which left a electric effect background, and i outlined the figures in blue that i later tried to eliminate, but that too left a nice effect for the painting." - Bacchusism
